Former Sri Lanka Army commander General Sarath Fonseka  found guilty of 'White Flag' statement today and sentenced to 3 years in Prison.

The Police have increased security with hundreds of armed police guarding the complex ahead of the delivery of the verdict and placed additional barricades around the court complex in Hulftsdorp, Colombo.

Leader of Democratic People’s Front, Mano Ganeshan has decided to resign from his post as a Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) member following a committee decision made by his party.

Mano Ganeshan said that the decision was taken to focus on his party leadership and to strengthen as well as develop the DPF for future elections.
