Sri Lankan Police yesterday seized 3kg of marijuana (Ganja) being transported in a bus at Kobeigana, Kotawehera And a Buddhist monk has been arrested under suspicion in connection to the transporting of the illicit drugs(Ganja).
Preliminary investigations had revealed that the monk in question, of a temple in Panduwasnuwara, had been involved transporting marijuana on several previous occasions.

ඊයේ දහවල් පොලීසිය සිදු කල සෝදිසි මෙහෙයමුකදී කිලෝග්රෑම් 3ක් පමණ කංසා තොගයක් සමග සැකපිට පඬුවස්නුවර ප්රදේශයේ විහාරස්ථානයක හිමිනමක් අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන ඇත.
මොහු මීට පෙරද කංසා ප්රවාහනය කර ඇති බවට මුලික පරීක්ෂණ වලින් අනාවරණය වූ බවද, සැකකරු හෙට නිකවැරටිය මහේස්රාත් අධිකරණටය ඉදිරිපත් කරන බවත් පොලීසිය සඳහන් කළේය.
