Gaddafi is No More!

Muammar Gaddafi, age 69, was shot and killed on October 20, 2011. That day, Gaddafi made his final speech and was later captured by Libyan forces near his hometown of Sirte. Libyans dragged Gaddafi for a few miles and then finally shot him in the head and chest. After the shots were fired, it took Gaddafi close to a half hour to die. He was killed along side his son, Moatassem Gaddafi, who served as his national security advisor.
“One of the world’s longest-serving dictators is no more,” said President Obama, “The dark shadow of tyranny has been lifted.” The Obama administration is relieved to have Gaddafi dead because they were afraid of what he might do to America.
“This is how to deal with the world going forward, getting the world to work together better", said Vice-President Joe Biden, “The whole operation had cost $2 billion dollars and no American lives had been lost.” The government is happy about the success of their operation because Gaddafi had been neutralized without any American casualties.
Americans and Libyans now can feel safe because Gaddafi is out of government office for good. Americans celebrate Gaddafi’s death while Libyans celebrate their freedom. After 30 years as dictator in Libya, his rule has finally come to an end.
